Thanks @dwalt - I have not, only because I don't have any handy at the moment, and I was wondering if it's possible to to this without having to buy and insert a relay in the chain. But it seems that's the only way to go so I'll have to go that route.
My understanding is thus: the OPII...
Like many, I've had to migrate off the OmniPro II platform, sadly, due to lack of support, parts, etc. and also like many I've moved (or am in the process of moving) to the Elk M1 Gold platform. Except I'm not really - because I have SO much that is built around the OmniPro II, most notably...
Sorry folks, I KNOW this is a well-trod topic but I've been searching on the Elk forum, the Homeseer forum, and CocoonTech forum and I cannot seem to find the "simple" answer that reflects CURRENT availability on how to do this.
Coming from a fully-integrated HAI OPII (and Stargate long before...
Hey rmf - sorry I know this reply is way late and you hopefully have solved long ago, but wanted to comment that I had the same issue recently with the exact same GBS sensor and what I found was the the tamper spring had wobbled askew when I replaced the cover. In my case the sensors are mounted...
Hey friends! Well, good news: I think we can chalk this one up to operator error (ish)...
For the record, the correct zone setting is: Type 0 = EOL Hardwire / Wireless
I think the real lesson here is: don't change too many variables at once! Between enrolling, unenrolling, configuring...
That's what I'm thinking, thanks - though I've also gone through the myriad different options and the ONLY set of config I can get it to work on (at all) is how configured. But yeah, I'll keep at it and I've got some Elk tech support lined-up to try to help me get sorted. I'll post back what I...
Adding to the fun here, now I'm getting reports of a "lost transmitter" - even though both transmitters I'm testing, backwards as they are, are in fact still showing and operating/triggering (again, just in reverse). And both of the transmitters I'm testing have new batteries and are less then 4...
Hi RAL - yep, it's consistent behaviour. On startup, within ElkRP, and persistent even after opening/closing/arming/disarming/connecting/disconnecting, etc. over the course of days. I've even cleared (un-enrolled) the sensors and re-enrolled multiple times and it's the same thing always...
Hello!
Like many before me, I've been migrating from an HAI OmniPro II to the Elk M1 and I've spent the past couple months slowly (re)building my knowledge with the language, settings, and features of this new architecture. I'm at the stage where I'm configuring wireless security sensors...
Yep, I definitely feel for you my friend! I've already invested a couple HUNDRED hours in all of the diagnosis, assessment, and what little bit I've been able to rebuild to-date. Hundreds of hours more to come as I redesign and "re-learn" how to replicate my Omni knowledge into Elk. And like...
Soooo....
It's been a while and I promised I'd update my results from all the super-helpful guidance this group has shared. Here's the update: had a lightning strike on our home and the multiple layers of protection (1: at the panel, 2: in the racks, 3: in front of most devices) did an...
I did indeed make it exactly here. Then as I was moving devices around on my switches I ended-up moving the OPII and the HIFI2 ethernet to the LAN ports on my Peplink router, where I also made the change there.
Fingers crossed things seem to have stabilized. As noted I'm going to let this run...
