Brultech Electrical Power Monitoring for your Home

I didn't see an answer to this question. I am very interested in the Ethernet version as well. Any news? Jim H.

    Hometroller 2

I would be interested in any response you receive from the help desk ticket. Jim H.

    Hometroller 2

If you would like to stay solid state, did you consider a 16G or 32G USB flash drive? Would that give you enough space? Not the same G per $ of course, but sticks with the benefits of a diskless system. Jim H.

    Protect Your Home with Laserbeams

You can usually get the "SAFETY BEAM" alarm on ebay for about $20 http://search.ebay.com/SAFETY-BEAM_W0QQfro...aMEFSRCHQ3aSRCH

    Automation video you must watch!

I'm getting one! Question though... If I get TWO, can they be symmetrically multi-processed together? You can never have too much of a good thing! Jim H.

    Repair defective Insteon switches

I believe it all has to do with what batch your switches came from. I pretty much outfitted my whole house with Insteon switches within a 1 month period (late 12/05 and early 01/06). People who bought around that time seem to have had a lot of failures. Interestingly enough, I bought my...

    Repair defective Insteon switches

You are lucky beyond all belief. At this point, I don't think I have many of my originally purchased switches left. I have RMA'd about 25. Obviously my initial purchases were at a time when they had a horrible batch of tact switches. Jim H.

    Natural Gas Pipe Sizing

As Pete already mentioned, the pressure in your area plays a role in the calculations. Low pressure gas service requires larger diameter pipe. Also, some inspectors will not allow unused ("future use") 'T's in your installation.

Homeseer locking up is very strange. I have run it for years and it has been absolutely solid. However, I do use a PC that is dedicated to Homeseer and my surveillance cameras -exclusively-. This also addresses some of the other comments here. XP, with a small handful of dedicated apps, works...

First impressions of the ISY-26 - review

Well, if you have not tried a W800RF at all yet, you might be pleasantly surprised. I get pretty much flawless communication from my X10 RF devices to the W800RF receiver. From there, you should be getting just as good results out of your Powerhome/Insteon setup as I am with my HomeSeer/Insteon...

First impressions of the ISY-26 - review

I use them with a W800RF, and I let HomeSeer work the logic of when they should respond and for how long. Switching is done with Insteon. So, motion is detected, W800RF receives, HomeSeer then applies logic and operates Insteon controlled exterior lights accordingly. Jim H.

    UPB or Insteon

Insteon has inline dimmers and relays (Smarthome's "In-Linelinc dimmer" and "In-Linelinc Relay"), plug in I/O (Simplehomenet EZIO - three different models), the PLC can accept downloaded timers, and the "ISY-26" is a nice stand-alone controller with web access, and "EZBridge" also runs timers...

    SH Forum Moderator false allegations

He didn't screw up. You completely misunderstood his post. In fact, he was protecting you. The person he was referring to about fraudulent posting was the new poster who came on to attack you. Jim H.

    Insteon AccessPoints & RemoteLinc
