    Kill A Watt

tech-home, Yes, d-lights boards do look good. I'm waiting on the new Light-o-Rama II to be introduced (spring 07 I think), before commiting to new contollers. I think all three of the major light controller companies are having to do some board revisions to accomodate using LED lights with...

    Kill A Watt

Digger, You are right. I only have one string of 50 LED lights ( C3 size bulbs ) outside now that I am trying out. They are brighter then the mini bulbs. I have 650 feet of rope light - over 7,500 bulbs, ever priced that in LED's ? At $4.75 a FOOT buying 150 ft. spools would be $ 3,087.50...

    Kill A Watt

Thanks to BSR posting in Hot Deals last June, I ordered several Kill A Watt meters. This afternoon, finished my outside Christmas decorations. Drawing power from three different outlets, running almost 11,000 lights. Started checking current draw from each. Number 1 was 5.89 amps, that's OK...

    Homeseer Board

I upgraded from HS 1.7 to HS 2.0 Beta and then to HS 2.1. Very Stable for my system. I look at the HS Board about once a month, and usually find the answers to any questions I have without having to make a post. (IMHO, a lot of the posts with no replys are questions that have been answered...

    $30 micro helicopter (video included)

Now wait a minute John, You are thinking like a pilot :D It's NOT an airplane, heck it doesn't even look like a C172, err its a boat-car-plane thingie or something. Don't you believe your own eyes? The video did show it flying! Maybe you need to look at it from the point of view of a...

Making latest Heather work - got one step closer

Interesting discussion. I BOUGHT the old version of Heather, and only downloaded the trial of TextAloud to try it with HS2, only installed on one box to evaluate. I liked it, but got busy with other things, and never did register Text Aloud. Recently when I was about to register Textaloud, I...

    Air Traffic Conversations

Squintz and Rustytek, That's great news. I wish you well, and have fun. I always enjoyed "Unusal Attitude Recovery" and "Minum Controlable Airspeed" practices. Unusal Attitude recovery is when the instructor would have you cross your arms, close your eyes, and put your chin on your chest...

    Air Traffic Conversations

At the end of my final checkride, the FAA examiner said, "OK, lets do a short field landing" (Commercial airport, hot July summer afternoon, just the right conditions to float). I was determined to put it down, make it stay down, and hit the brakes! After bouncing three times, I barely got it...

    Anybody else know this?

I think Kyham is still using HS 1x, though. I'm using HS 2.1.104x with a LAN of 10.x with no problems so it's not a .NET 2 limitation. Must only apply to the old HS 1x versions  edit: I found this HS release to be VERY stable. No reboots since installing many weeks ago.
