ELK-M1KPNAV and accidently setting off alarm weekly...

Ok, have a question, I replaced my keypad with the newer ELK-M1KPNAV. The keypad is great expect for one issue. The old keypad had an entry sounder, beep, tone, whatever you want to call it, when you opened a door and it reminded you to disarm the security system. The ELK-M1KPNAV has this...

    Outdoor motions for lights/chime

The problem that I had with the X10 version of these is that they only lasted a couple of years before they started sending spurious X10 traffic at random and the only way to fix it was to remove power to reset them. On top of that, the physical lens on the motion sensors started crack on all of...

    Outdoor motions for lights/chime

I realize this an old thread, but I found it regarding my search for an outdoor wireless motion sensor that would work with the M1XRF2G and I'm hoping my reply might help someone else when they perform the same search. The ONLY wireless motion sensor that I found was the GEC-60-639-95R-OD with...

Brultech 1240 via EtherBee not connecting

The Etherbee works here, followed the directions. I have found a bug in either the etherbee or the 1240, not sure which. If software is NOT connected to the etherbee/1240, the Etherbee floods the network with packets. As long as something is connected, all is fine.

    Brultech ECM-1240 questions

I also have the EtherBee and would be interested in Ethernet support via the tenEcmServer application. Thanks!

New Brultech Energy Monitoring Model (ECM-1240) due in 2009

I have the EtherBee, but I haven't set mine up yet. I'll give it a try hopefully this week and reply back here with my success or failure :-)

New Brultech Energy Monitoring Model (ECM-1240) due in 2009

I just received my 1240, and in reading the directions, I'm a bit unclear on the proper polarity of the MicroCTs and connecting them to the AUX channels. Does it matter which wire is connected to the common connection, as long as they are both the same 'marked' wire? That is, if I have a MicroCT...

    Brultech ECM plugin for Homeseer

As soon as mine arrives, I'll be using the EtherBee. From the documentation, what little there is, I think the app has to talk directly to the network, I don't believe a COM port is created for it. I went the EtherBee route to easily support multiple 1240s in the future.

    Brultech ECM plugin for Homeseer

Out of curiosity, are there any plans to support 1240s connected via the Ethernet options?

New Brultech Energy Monitoring Model (ECM-1240) due in 2009

Thanks for the info. I wanted to go the EtherBee route also to easily support a second 1240 in the future. At the moment, the options do sound limited, however hopefully that will change in the near future. I looked around on the Brultech web site for any sort of technical information pertaining...

New Brultech Energy Monitoring Model (ECM-1240) due in 2009

I'm under the impression, via the documentation, that the ethernet capability does not expose a COM port, but I could be mistaken which is why I'm posting here. It appears the only way to get data via the Ethernet is to utilize their ECMServer application. However, it appears that everyone is...

New Brultech Energy Monitoring Model (ECM-1240) due in 2009

So, I have to ask, does anyone have an ethernet version of the 1240 running with any software? So far, it sounds like the people that are writing interfaces to the 1240 are depending on COM port. However, from the documentation, I don't believe there is a COM port when you use the Etherbee or...

    Elk Communication Log

According to a reply to your thread, it appears that communication failures do get logged, probably at the end of all the retries. I may reduce my number of retries since technically it does matter since I'm using the ABN. Interestingly enough though, it does log every arm and disarm on...

    Elk Communication Log

Well, there is a tad bit more to this. I too am using NextAlarm with their ABN adapter. I'm attempting to find out if the ABN has a communication log. I logged into the ABN, and there is no log available, but there is an ADMIN menu that I can not access. I have a support ticket inquiring into...
