    MinIMotion detector operation

OK, thanks for the insight. Maybe a future design using the DS2423??? Works great as I described in my previous post. Not sure how the cost compares. Thanks again.... Norm

    Power Injector

Eric, Yes indeed it is strange. Especially for such a simple circuit. I did notice that it seemed like the regulator heat sink may have been touching things it should not have been. I removed it and the Unreg LED still does not come on, but when I plug in a Wire device (HTS3-R1) now it does...

    MinIMotion detector operation

So, if I don't poll (Search ROM) the DS2405 during that 1 second then I would miss detecting that motion? I may not be able to poll all devices I have and get back to the MotionDetector in time to catch the motion. I have some of your Dual Counter devices I'm using to detect door openings with...

    Power Injector

I have the power injector to use with the DS9097U-009 and a DS9490R. Seems like the power injector is not working properly. When I connect up just the 12VDC to the pwr input jack I would expect both LED's to light, but only the +5 Reg LED lights and not the other one (near the Output RJ45)...

    MinIMotion detector operation

I have one of the MiniMotion detectors. I have yet to write the SW to read the DS2405, but wanted to find out what to expect for output from the DS2405. From the DS2405 documentation page 5 it says each time the Match ROM command is issued the PIO pin is toggled and then it's logic state is...

Spikes in Humidity Sensor Reading - Not HB related

Jim, I have not used the one-wire viewer for a while, but if it has logging cabability then you could see the values. As far as adding a power source, I do not ever use parasite power on the one-wire network, I always run another +5VDC line and I still get the spikes, so I don't think it is...

    DS18S20 vs DS2438 for temperature

I've been using both DS18S20's and DS2438's for measuring temperature. The DS18S20's resolution is .06250C and the DS2438 is .03125C. Even though the DS2438 does more than just temerature, seems for accuracy the DS2438 would be better. I have also noticed the DS2438 seems to return a more...

Spikes in Humidity Sensor Reading - Not HB related

Jim, I have some humdity sensors on my 1-wire network also and have seen spikes like you are seeing. What I found was it is not realted to using a humdity sensor, but to the DS2438 chip. I wrote all my own SW (VB.Net) to read the devices on the OW network and what I discovered is that...
