PC Access Install Issue with Windows 11 and .NET Framework Version

Ahh...do you remember the security stamp you created on the old computer? The security stamp is different from the 4 digit management passcode. Here removed the security stamp right after I installed PCA. The HAI PC Access security stamp is a user-defined, case-sensitive, alphanumeric...

PC Access Install Issue with Windows 11 and .NET Framework Version

I too have never seen that message. Tested PCA on Windows 10 and Windows 11 to work fine. I run it here on Windows 2016 standard server (RDP to it) sitting on a Lenova Tiny M93 in the basement. Really its set and forget. You can even run it on a VB of Windows on Linux or Mac. I also have...

Samsung A32 hangs onto unusable wifi signal and can't find option to fix...

Here have a TCL T671G with Android version 12. I turn the phone on some 30 minutes before I leave the house. It connects to WiFi right away. It remains connected to Wifi in the driveway and switches to cellular data once I am in the street. I have a T-Mobile LTE repeater in the house. So...

Upgrading NAS #2 SAS drives to double capacity

Wow you are recording a bunch eh? Been running CoreElec NO nightly on my old Amylogic 905X4. Doing well here. We still have Direct TV here with a DVR and wife records everything. You convinced me to upgrade.

Upgrading NAS #2 SAS drives to double capacity

Thank you @Waynedb Been using SAS Enterprise drives for the two 8 drive NAS boxes. Probably should update case / motherboards in these. Reading some it really doesn't matter these days whether I use SAS or SATA drives. The Silverstone case, original drives, controller with motherboard was...

    Pete's Blog Generac Tune Up

Do you power yours with LP gas? My sister is looking at getting one but fueled with diesel (with automatic transfer switch). How do you like yours through the years (good and bad)? It was here when we moved last year. It is 10 years old. It is LP gas powered. So far liking it. I did...

Upgrading NAS #2 SAS drives to double capacity

Yes here have CumulusMX directly connected to the Davis console for the Vantage Vue. I also utilize the meteohub/meteostick to Home Assistant. Trying the Ecowitt WittBoy. Works OK so far. Here connected the Voice PE device to a tiny amp / bluetooth device / speakers. I have shut down all...

Upgrading NAS #2 SAS drives to double capacity

@Waynedb Thank you. I am starting to slow down here and moving slower these days. Yes here updated the fans. Louder and drives are cooler now. The NAS boxes are in the basement. Great specs on the motherboard. The U-Nas case worked except had to replace the PS a couple of times...

Upgrading NAS #2 SAS drives to double capacity

@Waynedb Thank you for the info. NAS #1 is in an 8 drive case that I got from China many many years ago. Much smaller footprint that the Silverstone case. This U-NAS 8 drive case only has room for an mITX board. NAS #1 has been off as I didn't really need it running. AMD mITX board...

    Thermostat replacement suggestion

I installed the Honeywell T6 ZWave per recommendation of Ring and it worked great. Connected to the Ring hub with no issues. I did have to rerun a new thermostat wire as there were only 3 wires and I needed 4.

    Water sensor using DS10A

The 433Mhz sensors use regular AA or AAA batteries and so far I have two PIRs outside that are still working fine after a year. The sensors are just 433Mhz sensors. The 433Mhz hub has Tasmota firmware. This is close to the old X10 sensors battery life and much better than the ZWave or Zigbee...

    Water sensor using DS10A

I only used GRI powered sensors near the sump pump wells here connected to the OmniPro 2. It was only 2 of them. That said DS-10's should work well. An alternative to use would be 433Mhz contact sensors connected to a Tasmota 433Mhz hub. I have a few of these today connected to Home...

OmniLinkBridge to integrate Home Assistant, SmartThings, Node-RED

Here initially ran MQTT autonomously on the Ubuntu server. I did have some issues with HA using MQTT. I switched the configuration of MQTT server to HA and all was well afterwards. Lately been grouping Tasmota switches for multiple lamps in rooms. Works well.
