Para 3.3 about steps to activate unit serial for Elk. Despite the references to the micro USB port no USB connection is used . Same serial cable as previous uplinks units works...
Nothing at all. Just worked on phone with Alarm Relay and Uplink to activate unit and test. Drop in replacement for previous 4500 unit. Same serial header. Same message it outputs if Cellular service drops. Same Elk rules to alert me of Uplink drops service still work from my original Uplink...
Anybody else have a ELK-M1KP2 keypad with failed LEDs? Both of my keypads have a few failed leds mainly in the function keys. They are slowly failing one by one. Had them for 11 years.

I use Elk M1G and HomeSeer Ultra plugin and have monitoring with Alam Relay via Uplink 5500ez cellular connection. Woks great and Alarm Relay was good on setup with Elk Panel and activating the Uplink unit. They upgraded my original 2500ez unit due to AT&T shutting down older 3G tech used in...
I have an Elk M1g with TR-16 thermostat. Connect with Homeseer HS4 now but same UltraM1G plugin as HS3.
I added 4 24vac relays tapped into
the thermostat outputs so i can monitor what it is doing and determine mode for events and other HA logic.
Uplink® 5500EZ connected via serial port on ELK-M1XSP Serial Port Expander.
Alarm relay just sent me a upgraded ($100.00) one that is LTE AT&T due to the older 4500EZ 4G service model are going away.
