We had this discussion a while back regarding BPL, but it looks like the August "crash from h*ll" ate it. Suffice to say, if the problem was truly that small, the hams/Police dept/Fire dept/public service agencies/etc. would not be having fits about it.
With the current status of corporate responsibility (or more accurately the lack thereof), every new product has "absolutely no side effects", and "works perfectly" according to it's purveyors. Only after it gets out into the real world and enough people complain does the company admit that things might not be perfect. It used to be "buyer beware", but now it seems to be "screw everyone else as long as I make money". A sad statement on the current state of ethics.
Listen to me. I keep going on like this and my "card carrying capitalist" permit is going to be revoked.
