3 elk 73 speakers on m1

I've found some info in the forums but I want to be clear. Question: will 3 speakers work at an acceptable volume connected in series to the single speaker output? Would it be better to add a powered relay such as the elk-912b?
Thanks

Not sure what you'd do with a relay - that's for switching things on/off like a light switch...

With any speaker connections you can add more speakers as long as you pay attention to impedence- here's a simple site with calculator that you can use to see the differences - but basically if you put them in series you're fine, in parallel you'll be too low; or you can do a combination - just be sure to update the default 4ohms to 8ohms.

Elk also makes the SP12 which is a 32-ohm speaker intended so you can add up to 8 speakers without having to worry about dropping impedence too low.

3 73's on an M1 would be 2 in parallel, the remaining in series, or as suggested SP12's (4 would be suggested in parallel).

Not a fan of piezo's myself.
