360 Motions and Cats??

I have a friend with an Elk M1G and about 10 ceiling mount 360-degree Visonic dual-tech motions around his house. He is just about to get two cats and I'm wondering how well the dual-tech 360's handle small animals. Does anyone have experience with these and pets?

I have found that cats can be the hardest to deal with when it comes to motion detectors. I don't know the specific model he uses but I don't think they are pet immune. Dual tech motion detectors are not necessarily pet immune, even though they are likely to be less susceptible to falsing from pets. My guess is that there will be some problems. Personally I like cats, but as an installer I hate them!

You can get a pill for the cats so they no longer set off the motion sensors. In fact, almost any pill can be used, provided it's given in a sufficient dosage.

pet-immune DT sensors work great until the cat gets more than 4 feet off the ground - no matter how small they are. Aiming is critical. No idea about the ceiling mount ones - would love to know though since they seem advantageous in certain situations.
