aiphone ax help

hi...just got a Aiphone AX-8MV Audio Video Master Station and a Aiphone AX-DV Surface Vandal Video Door Station for next to nothing....i want to use this system for my home...only have one door

question...do i have to use a ceu to make this work...something like this:

thanks really expensive for my needs...i do have cat 5 wired, so this system would be great if i could make it work without the ceu
