ALC Exterior Switches

Has anyone used ALC switches on the exterior of your house? Can you use a waterproof cover? What about using a low voltage AUX switch and leaving the HV switch inside?

It shouldn't be a problem, as long as you have a waterproof cover. If you have the option, I might opt for the Aux switch there, but I don't think it is necessary. I haven't actually done it, but I have put other HV switches in weatherproof boxes outside.
