Not feeling terribly "wordy" so I'll keep it relatively short. I utilize Convergent Living as the front end of my system. I have two touchscreens. The primary is a 15" ELO (yep, the Santistuff special) being driven by a CL Sidekick located in the kitchen/family room and a CL Companion 8 (8.4" DT) located in the master bath. The backend is primarily run by my HAI OPII. The OPII runs HVAC, UPB lighting and appliances, security, voice, garage door, fireplace and more. It also interfaces with my ADI Ocelot for A/D and IR (some A/V and the swamp cooler). Both the OPII and the CL gear have 232 control of the currently four zone Russound CAV66 distributed audio. The CL also allows for a bunch of IP based stuff like , Axis 4 camera webserver, email, forecast, WeatherHawk integration, etc. A Kantech piece handles the prox reader and CheaperTronics handles the new RFID vehicle detection. I'm always adding, changing, experimenting so things are crazy ugly but it all works well and has a high WAF. I have remote access via SnapLink but I dislike it and prefer to VNC into the Sidekick for GUI consistency and ease of use (I HATE scrolling through endless lists).
