Anyone using 3D printers yet?

Between KickStarter, Maker Bot, etc., there are plenty of 3D printers on the market now, so I would like to hear from people who actually have one of these, especially interested in which model offers the most bang for the buck, while still being affordable.
 
For those not familiar with 3D printers, here is a great (but short) video showing how big of a deal these printers are.

I was going to buy a kit, but, found that I could do a bit of leg-work and save several hundred dollars. I found that you can piece together something for about $400.
 
I've settled on a Prusa i3 which is a combination of the Prusa Mendel and a Wallace. I have also decided on a RAMPS v1.4 board to run things.
 
The frame components should be laser-cut this week and I am currently researching extruders. Leaning towards a Greg's Wade.
