I sent inquiry to Elk technical support about new GE DesignLine wireless sensors. The new sensors appear to meet the ITI/Crystal criteria and specifications seem to match supported products.
Technical support indicated the sensors are being evaluated and will be added to the officially supported list after completion. Elk does not have a commit date yet.
Unfortunately, I had hoped to finish alarm system soon. I currently have one NX-458 in my system, and it been working for one week now. I need to purchase 9 more sensors, so I was was wondering if anybody has installed one of the newer DesignLine sensors with the ELKM1XRF2G. Any problems found (false positives/negatives)?
As near as I can tell, the new sensors are slightly slimmer than older version. The battery life is longer too.
