[CES 2012 Exclusive Update]: HAI (Home Automation Incorporated) /archive/j/news/2012/1/CES/logo.jpg
CocoonTech visited the HAI booth during CES 2012 to get the latest news about their products.
HAI is coming out with an Omni bus control system that is DIN rail mountable. DIN rail mountable solutions are more common in industry, but HAI feels this application can be used for new homes or light industrial applications.
Basically an intelligent ‘brain’ module connects to all the other output modules on the DIN rail. This can include lighting as well as relay output modules. The ‘source’ of the power must be ran to these modules (i.e. you can’t have local power running to a control switch as in common residential homes).
Keypads and switches can then be fed back to this system via Cat5 wiring.
