It's one of the first display interfaces that allows you to interact with your ZigBee 'Home Automation' devices directly - without requiring any additional control hardware.
It supports device control, device status, and can also be used with the ZigBee Interface Module (ZIM), allowing integration into your existing HAI system.
While ZigBee is not a new technology, it has had little support from companies until very recently, where they have begun supporting the 'Home Automation' profile. The profile states that every device within this category must be able to communicate with all other similar devices. HAI is leading the way in this respect by introducing ZigBee 'Home Automation' versions of their Omnistat 2, load control modules, and this display/control unit.
