Logitech just announced their Logitech Alert product line, which will offer 720p security cameras (both indoor and outdoor models), which have a built in DVR (ships with a 2GB microSD), but can also store the data on your networked PC. The cameras talk to the PC via a HomePlug AV based network, so you don't even have to run network wire. There is also a free client for various mobile platforms, plus they will soon be offering an internet based subscription service allowing you to access your recordings from anywhere. The cameras have built in motion detection, and initial demos look promising.
