While trying to catch up with some news, I ran into this little gem. StickNFind is a stick-on emitter using the low-power Bluetooth 4.0 technology, allowing you to track your belongings with your smartphone. This obviously has a potential impact on the home automation market, as this could be the cheap & reliable way of tracking when your cars arrive at home, or if you forgot to put out the trashcan, lost your keys, etc.
It's a pretty interesting product, and will supposedly be available sometime next year if the IndieGoGo campaign is sucessful (it already reached its goal). Hopefully this is the real deal, and the product will ship in time.
