CocoonTech spoke with Larry of GlobalSat on a new mobile product that they are looking to develop with integrators, the TR600.
The TR600 is a vehicle tracking device but also has some unique capabilities that an HA enthusiast would love including three digital inputs, five digital (relay capable) outputs, one analog input, and a serial port (that can also support CAN bus).
A user can remotely interface with this I/O via SMS messaging as it leverages a GSM network for communications. It has an internal ARM7 processor and can be programmed internally for various "what if" scenarios.
This unit comes as a plain vanilla hardware product with a just a general utility type software interface.
They would like to partner with a home automation type product (hint hint developers!)...
