MerMar Designs, an open source hardware design company, published info about their latest project, an Ethernet based IR control interface. While nothing new (Global Cache), it's probably the first open source design which is freely available via their website. They are still trying to figure out some software licensing issues, but if there is enough interest, they will order a production run of this hardware.
