The GefenTV Wireless for HDMI 5Ghz Extender Delivers Any Hi-Def Source to One or More Displays with No Cables Required, Perfect for Both Residential and Commercial Installations

CHATSWORTH, CA – Connectivity solutions provider Gefen today announced that its GefenTV Wireless for HDMI 5Ghz Extender is shipping. The product comes in two modes: broadcast and unicast. In unicast mode, it delivers a point-to-point wireless transmission that is fully HDCP compliant up to 100 feet (30m) in distance. In broadcast mode, the GefenTV Wireless for HDMI 5Ghz Extender delivers several identical HDTV signals without HDCP compliance. In this mode, individual receivers are connected to each display or projector to transmit the hi-def video at the same distance.

The sender/receiver system allows a wireless transmission of high definition video (1080p/30fps) with audio (5.1 digital and L/R analog) using 5Ghz technology by Amimon.

The HT guys did a "review" of this on their Podcast. I say review because the two guys that run it don't really put the hardware through it's paces, but gives you an idea of what to expect. I'd rather pay to run the wires at this price.
