I have an HAI Omni Lite with an ALC board.
Two of my Four ALC dimmer switches are shot.

Looking for 2 things.

1. Opinion as to be done with ALC and move to UPB?
2. If I stick with ALC where do I purchase at a reasonable price?

Thanks

You can send the dimmers in question to Tony Stewart at setnet for testing and or repair. I had a few that I wasn't sure about, and got them back in about a week. Check their website www.setnetpro.com 888 777 8638. Great guy to deal with.

Genesis 1:3 is the mfg of ALC product now, that is one of his companies.

Let us know how things turn out.

Heh...can't seem to get edit to work.

I think I've got a couple of dimmers on the shelf. They are 600w PM if interested

You may as well keep the ALC going as long as you can do so at a reasonable cost. However, UPB is pretty good. I'm not familiar with the Omni Lite model, but if it has a serial port and the firmware accommodates UPB, it's pretty cheap to build a minimal setup to experiment with. Basically, you need a PIM and one or two dimmers to play with; total cost about $160.

I have one ALC Dimmer, that is alway at 100% light level, you can issue a command OFF and 1 sec later its back to 100%? Anyone come across this, or TS isfyou read this, is this something I can fix on site, or will the switch have to be sent to you?
