Best Outdoor Spots

My church has, as you might imagine, a cross mounted on the roof. It is way up there and requires hiring a professional to service it. The bulbs have burned out and I would like to replace them with LED if I can find the right bulb. I am not sure what wattage we have up there but believe it is a par38 sized bulb. There are two of them. The cross is about 8 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

I would love a bright, 50,000hr, weatherproof bulb to put up there. It needs to be white, but we have a great deal of lattitude on the exact temp. Recommendations? Thanks.

Our church has a similar concern, but we are looking into attaching an LED rope lite around the perimeter of the cross.

Cree makes an LED PAR38 replacement. I don't know if it is wet rated though.

It does say for "architectural accent lighting" and "suitable for damp locations". I don't exactly know what "suitable for damp locations" means. I like Cree but suspect on a roof is more than just damp. I will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. It does look like it otherwise has all the specs I want.

I don't think rope light can work for us.

I called Cree and they said their bulb is not rated for direct water contact.

I also saw that home depot "EcoLight" has a par 38 "75 watt eq" that is stated as indoor/outdoor. Has anyone tried that bulb?
