Best secure locations for alarm panels

Just curious who places their panels where on installs? I usually have them in the equipment closet with the racks/other LV panels etc put that puts everything in one spot for a burglar. I've seen attics couple times. But not sure how an M1 would do up there in the summer heat...

If a burglar breaks in, they're probably not going for my alarm panel but rather the macbooks, ipads, jewelry that is always sitting around my home.  With that being said, I have mine located in a storage room in the basement of my home, right next to a half rack of AV stuff

Attic would be a no-no unless it's conditioned space, same with crawl spaces and similar.
 
Most logical is a location that can't be accessed easily without triggering a device, preferably perimeter.
 
Remember, even though they're LV, the code still applies to accessibility and free and clear working area, which are common violations.
