The electricians are done with the 3rd floor so time to run some wire. Here is the stockpile before we started. It totals about 2 1/2 miles. I'm using different colored Cat5e so that runs to the same outlet box can be easily identified which wire is which. Also prior to any pulling I've made a wire layout with each wire run numbered. Will label the wire as I go.
For voice I'll run yellow cat5e. For TV I'll run 1 coax RG6 and 3 Cat5e to each location. I figured with available baluns I'll be able to convert any location to HDMI or component if needed. I've got 22/2 wire and grey cat5e for 2 and 4 wire alarm termination respectively. Lastly running 16/4 speaker wire for whole house audio.
