Buzz with Keypadlinc

Wondering if anyone else with a Keypadlinc notice that it buzzes? I do not have mine controlling any load, however it has a buzz that is noticeable within about 3-4 feet.

My SwitchLincs do not buzz

Send it back. I have keypadlincs of various versions old and new and none of them buzz.

Ok afraid that was the case. Never dealt with smarthome returns hopefully they are not too bad.

I have several. They all buzz softly. Support said it was normal. All function properly and have for half a year thus far. FWIW

So you can hear a soft buzz about 3-4 feet away?

Mine main concern is if it will fail.

Yes I can. Thus far it has not operated oddly or failed. I would think I had a bad one if just one did it, but all of them I own do it. If it's a problem it must have been a whole manufacturing run else just one would do it.

Talk to support about it if it concerns you..but I've not actually had an insteon device in service fail once it was installed..and I have dozens. Only bad ones I've had were dead right out of the box; either wouldnt power on or wouldnt link to anything ever.
