Camera prices seem to good to be true

Guess I am not seeing what you are seeing... Their stuff all looks over priced to me, at least on the models of cameras I normally buy...

What do you normally buy? The cameras I (typically) use are in the $400 - $2000 range.

I can't imagine you get much of a camera for $100 - $200. Maybe, don't know.

What do you "normally" buy?

66' IR Day/Night Weather proof, superHAD CCD $60
60' Varifocus, Varizoom IR Day/Night, superHAD CCD $80

I mostly buy from china directly now... Same stuff Supercircuits sells, half the price... But Supercircuits prices are not too bad for US purchases.... So $99 & $130 from them for the same cameras.

The cameras wow everyone who has ever seen my DVR system, but they are just Joes... I am sure the cameras you guys use are better, but when 20% better costs 300% more... I'll pass and be thrifty. I have a couple that have the EXVIEW CCD and they get a little grainy in low light, but they can see to the street, and when the flood lights kick on, they go back to color, so it does not bother me much.

I mean I am just watching my yard all day, and the cameras that were half the price of my current ones were ok, I thought I was pampering myself with these...

Do you have any links to these China cams?

66' IR Day/Night Weather proof, superHAD CCD $60
60' Varifocus, Varizoom IR Day/Night, superHAD CCD $80

Are you talking bullet cameras? How about a link to something at SuperCircuits so we can check if were are comparing apples to oranges?

Thanks.

The little ones I use are a mix. I bought two of the Swanns in the first link, then I found an equivelent camera at Geeks for way less, then lastly some Chinese ones with about the same stats. http://microcenter.com/single_product_resu...duct_id=0233931

http://www.supercircuits.com/Security-Came...y-Cameras/PC509 is the Zoom cameras I use.

Thanks for the links.

We were comparing apples and oranges. The cameras I was talking about are PTZ high res, high sensitivity with two way audio. Different things entirely.

Can't tell you a thing about cameras like you spec'ed so I will differ to others on this issue.

i had a customer out of fla who asked if i could support their dvr in my apps. they are mpg4 and i couldn't get the stream so far in our bb app. there's not much info on their website and they gave a basic response to emails. just my experience with them so far.

What is this in response to? Who is "their" in their dvr?
