Camera's, DVR & OmniPro II

I now have my security system online and working - effort is to now integrate surveillance.     I have OmniPro II, OmniTouch 7's and Cat 5 & 6 running to all the camera locations.   I also have the HAI Camera Server (although I'm not sure I need this anymore).
 
What is a good solution for Camera's and DVR, so that I can access it from both Haiku (or Space) and the OmniTouch 7's.   Ultimately, I'd like to create triggers so that camera feeds come on as things happen (someone in driveway, door bell ring, etc).

If you want a PC based solution for Windows take a look at Blue Iris, for linux based, Zoneminder.

There are many resources and many friendly folks here on Cocoontech for your endeavor. 
 
If your preference is not DIY (software / hardware) then you can always contract somebody to do your stuff.
 
You will learn the most DIYing all of your stuff.  (LV/HV electrical, software/hardware integration et al).

There is the Levition / HAI CCTV solution and means of 3rd party IP cameras, NVR's et al solutions and integration.
