So I had a lightning hit fairly near the house a while ago that cooked a couple things... had to replace a cable modem, but everything else on the network seemed to survive ok.
I just recently realized my WebControl stopped responding on the network and I'm trying to figure out if it's toast. (maybe from the same event, maybe not?)
What it does:
- Powers up ok
- Board activity LED blinks
- Green network LED is on steady
- Yellow network LED blinks w/ activity
What it does not do:
- Respond on previously-issued static IP
- Pull down a DHCP lease
- ARPing on the network
I've already performed the board reset process and it seems to work (the board activity light is steady for 1s, then blinks normally) to no effect.
Is it possible a voltage spike wiped/corrupted the firmware?
