I came across these capacitive water flow switches online, which look promising as they basically clip onto non metallic water pipe and provide a N.O. NPN output, operating at 12-24V. I emailed the company and got a data sheet (Its 5mb so I cannot attach it here, but if your interested I'll email it to you) and some pricing (estimated around $45/ea after shipping, taxes, duties, etc.) Unfortunately there is a 50 unit minimum order. Regardless. . .
Curious to know if anyone has used anything similar, or what others use to monitor water flow. Just looking for a on/off status of flow.
