Annapolis, MD - July 23, 2008 - Charmed Quark Systems, Ltd., vendor of the powerful Charmed Quark Controller automation and media management system (CQC), announced today that they have signed VidaBox LLC, a leading provider of complete audio-video solutions, as a reseller of their CQC product. VidaBox will be embedding CQC into their new vAutomation packages, which target the mid- to high-end professional installer.

Dean Roddey, Chairman and CTO of Charmed Quark Systems, states that "We are very excited to be teaming up with Vidabox on their new vAutomation packages. Combining automation and media management into a single, reasonably priced, scalable product that integrates tightly with the existing home networking infrastucture will provide the custom installer more options to meet the needs of their customers."

The combination of CQC with VidaBox's advanced media servers creates a very powerful solution by marrying two key components of many custom installers' offerings – automation and media serving – in a single box. In concert with VidaBox's pre-configured systems and automation templates, the enormous customization capabilities of CQC will allow trained installers to become productive quickly, while allowing dealers with advanced programming skills to create their own completely unique solutions, as desired.

"We're thrilled to be working with Charmed Quark and being able to offer CQC on our systems," says Steven Cheung, President of VidaBox. "The new vAutomation packages represent the continual R&D efforts VidaBox has taken in offering truly complete, all-encompassing audio-video solutions. CQC has allowed us to combine our advanced media servers' multizone streaming capabilities with our vPad and TouchClient12 touch screens to control everything from lighting to shades, from thermostats to security, and more."
