Guys, I KNOW its kinda early for Christmas links and all. BUT if anyone was gonna try something like this, now would be a good time to start! (Thought I doubt you would be finished in a mere 6 months).
I have seen some of the lights controlled by serial controllers before, and they are impressive. I was flipping the chanels this morning, and there was a re-run of an old Ellen show, that featured this display. I did some googling from the name of the person, and location, and was able to find the video online.
This has to be the most amazing light display I have seen, to date at least. It is syncronized to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Wizard in Winter"
