Cleaning up some wiring

Just curious, is there a reason you choose to run the wiring out the electrical box location vs the round KO at the bottom of the Elk can?

It was because the outlet-knockout was already removed due to it actually having an outlet in a previous configuration.
The round knockout was getting pretty full - there were more wires that needed to pass through that side.

I might have used a different can if I had to do it again.

Slugbuster or hole saw is your friend.

Just me, but screams out that should've been done, or add a second KO next to first.

Had to Google Slugbuster. Looks like a quality tool. I guess it's the ideal method for adding knockouts to a metal enclosure?

You may be able to get away with a metal hole saw. I used one to add a a pass through to a metal cover plate, for a surface mount LED driver. Not name brand, IIRC, but adequate, picked up at Home Depot, about $10.
