Control LED lights with Elk

Folks, looking for your advice.

1. I want to control 26 individual LED lights with Elk M1G. What relays / boards / config do I need?

2. Is it possible to program a "minute" variable to trigger an action at the same time every hour, at e.g. When it is 20 min past every hour an Output X will turn on and when it is 25 min past it will turn off.

Thx.

Need more detail:

Low voltage powered single LED's 26 of them each controlled separately?

120vac LED strings?

To start you will need an M1, and Maybe an M1XOV or an M1XOVR or 2 depending on the LED current and voltage and how many separate control lines you need. You can also power individual LED's off the low current outputs on the M1.

2. I'm pretty sure that can be done. The rules are very flexible. Have you tried it yet?

@gatchel:
- yes, each light needs to be controlled separately
- low voltage LED lights, each draws 18mA
- I have inherited M1G and it has 8-port relay board (Elk-M1RB), mostly unused. Can I add 3x more boards or do I need to get XOV/XOVR as well?
- how can you power LED's off M1, where'how do you connect them?

I would get a power supply capable of powering as many LED's as you'd ever have on at a single time, and run all the negatives together, and switch the positive's via the Elk Relays.you can daisy chain the power for each input. It's actually the same concept as how we control our sprinkler valves via an M1G if you want to search the site for some examples - some even contain the full wiring diagrams.
