Current Cost available in the US

Is there anyway to tie this into any HA system? From the base unit?
If your HA system has a serial port and the ability to parse XML then there is a fair chance you can. This is a version of the XML structure; h t t p ://w w w .currentcost.c o m /cc128/xml.htm

There is a RJ45 output on the back, it outputs serial data at TTL levels so you need to convert it to RS232 levels with either buying the USB cable or by building a max232 circuit for a serial port.

Looks like they now sell a USB interface cable too.

Anyone else had experience with this monitor?

One intriguing feature (to me at least :) ) is that they purport to have "Individual Appliance Monitors" coming soon (see their home page). These allow monitoring of appliances through a plug in unit, like the kill-a-watt meters, but they interface to the main whole house monitor.

A quick glance doesn't show TED or BRUL having these. Anyone know if they will be adding such a feature?

Thanks

The IAMs have been "coming soon" for a while now...

Brultech already has multi channel load monitoring, albeit hardwired and typically only for a whole circuit.
TED & Brultech both support some sort of RF communication, so something similar to the IAM could be possible, although I haven't heard of any public plans.
