Digital Input latch module?

The DS2406 has dual latched inputs. I have two 8 channel input boards from Embedded Data Systems, and they work great. I've written a plugin for Homeseer, and I'm using the latch input to monitor a driveway sensor. I'm also using the level sense inputs on the same chips to monitor garage doors.

It will be good for Hobby Boards to release an input board -- I like the products so far. Just be sure to have detailed wiring instructions available, or build in the 10k resistors to + to make the boards really easy to hook up. It took me a while to find information on how to connect the inputs.

Is there a digital input with latch module available? It would really come in handy.

Which board do you have and are you using it with the Masterhub from Hobbyboards?

Eric why not start selling the DS2406 in the TO-92 style case. It kinda hard to find anywhere in small quantities.

I have two of these:

I'm using them with the Hobby Boards regular hub, so they should work fine with the Masterhub as well. To connect them, put a 10k resistor from the input to +5, then wire ground through your switch to the input.

My HS plugin will be ready imminently if you use HS & want to try it.

John,

I chose not to sell the DS2406 in the TO-92 case because you lose one of the two i/o channels with the TO-92. The DS2406 is expensive enough and to lose one of the i/o channels seemed (in my opinion) to make it too costly.
