Does the elk keyfob have a proximity sensor?

In anorthern thread a person claimed that he his system disarms whenever his keyfob is within 150 feet from the panel. Could this be true? If so how does that work?

Nope. He's pulling your leg. The Elk RF keyfob is not going to be able to be read actively from the system, conversely, if it was prox, there's no way then either.
 
If they're talking interface via a third party using a third party product, maybe, but not via Elk's keyfob or prox.
