Dual counter - auto increase

Hi,
I just bought the dual counter and tried to put it to work in my 1wire network. Thought it acts a bit weird I think...
I don't know whether I did something wrong or if my counter has a problem.
I'm accessing it via OWFS by doing a cat over the counters.A and counters.B, with nothing else than DQ and GND connected, both counters still are increasing and their values are pretty freaky: 435'879'939 and 5 minutes later 459'341'827.

Does someone has an hint eventually ? What can it be ? Is my board dead ?

That does sound strange. The counters can increase due to noise but normally with nothing connected to the inputs they would not count.
