Easy way to have audio clip played from momentary switch

I am trying to put together a small control panel for my son to use on his train table and I would like to setup some momentary switches that playback some audio clips. I do have a  raspberry PI around that I could use but that seems a little overkill just to play a few audio clips.

Since you're in the same state, I'll have to look around one site we're upgrading the access control system; they used to use them for overhead paging triggered by the access setup.

I use this guy for my doorbell, it does exactly what you're asking, and even supports multiple sounds by pressing different switches.  It's currently out of stock, though.
