Electronic Gate Latch

Hey Guys,

I'm used to doing my own research and love doing so - but for this one, wanted to get this group's opinion.

My next door neighbor loves HA in theory, but hasn't yet started. He wants cameras, integrated security, and automation.... but has nothing today. Also, he's an apple fan - so he has all Mac's in his house - including those on 24/7. So far he's been looking at Z-Wave so I've been recommending a Vera; and he has an ADT security system (no idea which one) that's less than a year old.

So - the question... he has a pretty cool floorplan that includes a courtyard to get to his front door - and he built a custom iron gate w/conduit up inside the gate posts on both sides.

He would like electronic control - on both sides. Since this is a gate, it's too easy to reach around to the inside to just open from there... but an electrified handle would be awesome - something where it works during normal home hours, but during off-hours doesn't operate... would be completely ideal. Even better would be the addition of a call-box so he can keep that one locked and have it ring the doorbell or something inside - where he could then "unlock" the gate.

Any ideas? I suspect DEL might have some... this is an all-exterior installation, custom welded... fairly protected from heavy rainfall, but still fully outdoors and exposed to the elements. As of now, he's welding in a double-latch setup that has two holes, one for a deadbolt and one for a handle latch... and because it is custom fab, he could make any modifications necessary.

Thx!!
