ELK during power failure

Hi everybody,

Yesterday I had a power failure however one of the rules I have in place for when a power failure takes place didndt work. The rule is simple

Whenever AC failure troube is detected
and "house" Arm State=Armed
then send email to (email 4)

The keyboard displayed Ethernet problem. Did the error mesage and was the email was not received because their was no power? Meaning can ELK M1 send emails notification even if no power is availble?

Is your router and ISP modem on a UPS? Even if they are, your ISP's gear outside of your house may not be.

No they are not. So basically that's what I need to do to be able to get email with the power is out?

The Elk would need a live internet connection to contact the email server. A small UPS should do the trick. Just make sure any switches between the Elk and Router are also powered by ups.
