Elk M1 Motion Sensor Question

HI all,
I got few NX-481 installed around the house with one sensor installed near the front door. What is the expected behavior of the Elk M1 in the folowing scenario:
I arm Elk the motion sensor near the door. Exit delay begins to countdown. Would not the motion sensor immediately sense me near the door and report?

Not if it is configured as "Burglar Interior Follower".

Thank you wuench. That seems have worked. On related note. What happens when someone (legally) enters the front door? Will they have an option to disarm before the alarm goes off?

Yes, if an entry zone is violated first it will not trigger until the entry time has expired.
