Elk M1G - Exporting & Importing Rules using .exp files

I am able to export my Rules to Crystal Reports Viewer (.rpt) and Excel (.xls) following the instructions at http://cocoontech.com/forums/topic/28083-export-rules-as-text/. This is very helpful for keeping archives.

Somehow I was also able to export my Rules to an .exp file as well which is (apparently) useful for re-importing rules if they get corrupted. I sure don't remember how I did this, though. I cannot find anything on the web or at the Elk site about exporting and importing Rules via .exp files.

Does anybody know how to export/import rules alone via .exp files?

Thanks.
Steve

I export the entire customer account and the rules go with it to an exp file

.Use File>Export
I do that, too. But I've had rules get corrupted and needed to import a backup rule set into M1G without restoring everything. Somehow I was able to export the rules to their own .exp file previously; I think Elk Support showed me how to do it, but I can't find where I documented it.

If you open your account and choose print

- select "this account"

- check "rules"
 - click OK

when you get a report you can export it as a .xls or .rpt file
