I would like to know the current status of my insteon devices (around 20 modules and switches). Is it now possible to enable polling on M1XSP without running into issue ??? Thanks
It's probably been 6 months or so since I disabled polling for my insteon devices- I had numerous issues with "Ghost" lighting changes and inability to use "on for duration" rules; I haven't had a single one of those issues since disabling polling.

I use groups to keep things in sync and that seems to keep device status fairly well up to date.... to be honest though the Elk just isn't fully aware of lighting status anymore; I found I very rarely need the Elk to know the current lighting status for day to day functionality.
