ELK Question: Instant Activation

I have an Elk M1G system. I'm well acquainted with the manual and the ElkRP software. I use "Night Instant" mode when I go to bed. The "instant" feature is working as specified in the manual such that there's no "entrance delay" before the alarm goes off when a door is breached.

However, there's still a full exit delay countdown before the system is actually armed. I would like to program it so that there's no "exit delay" before the system is fully armed.

Does anyone know a way to do this?

the only way to do it and it is risky would be to enable your keypad so you can toggle or scroll your stay modes while the system is armed...
that way there is no delay if your system is already armed on stay mode.

its on area definitions step 14 StayChgIfArned... i would only enable this if a keypad is inside your master bedroom or a secure area...

if someone breaks in they can just hit that stay button again an cycle your system from night instant back to stay

Idle Curiosity here - is this normally an issue, or is this for the occasional "Oh crap - did you hear that?" "Yeah - what was that?" "I dunno - go arm the alarm - hurry!" moments?

I've been in the above situation once or twice, and believe me - waiting for that countdown to expire sucked! But, having a Panic button programmed into the system can really help there... at least that way, the dialogue continues as "I'm taking the gun and checking it out - if you hear anything, press the panic button!" With a fully-automated house, hopefully you even have a "bump in the night" button as I call it - which activates every light in the house at a certain level so nobody is hiding in the shadows. Even better if you have an automation screen which shows any rooms with movement in them based on the motion detectors.
