ELK-RP version question

Hi guys, my PC died, and long story short I wasn't able to recover any of the data or files related to my ELK M1G, including all the history lists and programmed settings, etc. Still searching for my passwords, which I wrote down somewhere....

So I now have a brand new PC running Vista-64. I don't remember the version of RP I had on the previous computer (it was running XP), but I downloaded it in late December 2007 (same time I got the new M1G).

1st question: are there any remaining issues with running RP under Vista-64?

2nd question: the m1dealer site shows RP version 1.6.16 dated 9/30/08 and version 1.6.26 (dated at an earlier date of 6/3/2008 despite a later version number??). I will need the full install. Should I get v1.6.16 due to the more recent date or 1.6.26 due to the later version number?

Oh; never mind question #2. I should have clicked 1 page further on the m1dealer site. It says to use 1.6.26

Still wondering re: Vista-64 though.

Now to figure out how to recover all my settings and rules (from the M1G panel, via XEP, into a new profile for the newly-loaded RP) without accidentally over-writing something in the panel with an RP default.

Is there an app note on how to do this? I only get one chance to do it right, and I'd hate to blow it.
