ELK-SWG How do these things work?

I know this sounds dumb but I'm trying to create more room in my ELK can so I bought some of these circuit board glides. I can't figure out how they work.

Any ideas? Thanks!

There are specific holes in the elk cans for the locations. There are also specific screws that usually come with them. The Elk expaner board then slides in to the grooves. The installation details are the part of the SWB-28 instructions downloadable from elks website:
