ElkRP2: issues and quirks

I posted this on the Elk BB but thought I might get some input here too>
"New to ElkRP2: expected to find here a forum for issues related to only RP2, but didn't. Anyway, I've run into several: it has crashed on occasion when entering numbers into cells for example, entry or exit delay, where the number entered (erroneously) is greater than allowed. Also, I was filling out the cut-off timers folder entries. I can change the timer values, but there appears to be no way of entering or changing the NAMES of the timers - those cells or all blue'd out. Some have names in them - numbers 8 thru 12. But that alarm, fire etc. either are unlabeled or have junk in them. I used the paper install doc to determine which timer was which. Is that normal, or should these cells be hard coded with names or better yet user editable? (ElkRP2, version 2.0.4.)"

Shorn,

Welcome to CT

I have been using ElkRP2 for awhile(month +) and have not had a problem .. admittedly I only used certain sections but I went and changed my exit delay to 60000 and it quickly set itself to 255, but did not crash. I then went into the cutoff timer section and all are blue but seem to make sense. Mine are as follows:

Burg
Fire
Med
Pol
CO
Emer
Frez
Gas
Heat
Watr
Aux1
Aux2

You might want to try to see if you uninstall and reinstall if it clears up the problem.

Yesterday I noticed that setting the entry/exit delay values via the increment/decrement buttons (rather than typing in the value) seems to cause the crash. Did it several time. Not serious enough to justify reinstalling though. Just a little irritating.
