F Key Illumination Event

Hi All

I was wondering if some can shed some light on my problem.

I have currently setup a task to email me whenever the F1 key is pressed on the keypad (M1KP2).

The task works correctly but i would like the key to illuminate when the task is run,

i have setup the illumination event to (Automation Task 01) but the light never turns on when running the task.

I tried inverting the light but the light stays on and does not go out when running the task.

I've also added a ghost output to the task to turn on for 10 secs thinking this will extend the task running time but the light still does not illuminate correctly.

The task runs correctly and displays a text message to the keypad on commencing the task and when output is turned off on completion of the task.

Anyone got any ideas. Currently running Firmware 5.1.4

In your task, turn an unused output on for x seconds.
In your keypad setup, program the illumination event, for the fk you desire, to follow output n

Thanks, your suggestion did work but don't you think it's unecessary or a waste to use a ghost output to illuminate a F-Key?

If you are giving the option to illuminate via task state then it should work???

Well, I think it does work, it is just that the LED is only active while the task executes, and the task executes very quickly so you don't see the key light up.
With 208 outputs available you should have plenty to spare.
